SDS provided Display Energy Certificates for University of Ulster

Our team of CIBSE certified Energy Assessors can provide all certifications relating to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). Please contact us for more information.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC)

UK Legislation requires EPCs for domestic, commercial and public buildings when built, refurbished, sold or rented.

The certificate calculates the energy efficiency of the building and provides prospective purchasers or tenants with information that can be compared to another building of similar type.

  • All buildings over 50m² must comply
  • Registration on central EPC register and recommendations report
  • Carried out by CIBSE certified Energy Assessors

Commercial Building Energy Rating (BER)

ROI Legislation requires Commercial Building Energy Rating (BER) Certificates for all non-domestic buildings offered for sale or rent.

The certificate calculates the energy efficiency of the building and provides prospective purchasers or tenants with information that can be compared to another building of similar type.

  • Assessments are completed by registered BER Assessors

Display Energy Certificates (DEC)

UK legislation also requires DECs in all public buildings with a floor area greater than 250m2.

  • Analysis and collation of utility bills and meter readings
  • Calculation using approved Government DEC software
  • Generate a DEC and outline recommendations
  • Signed off by CIBSE certified Energy Assessors

Air Conditioning Inspections (ACI)

UK legislation dictates that all air conditioning systems, with a combined output of 12kW or greater, should be inspected every 5 years by an Accredited Energy Assessor.

SDS will provide the mandatory ACI report, outlining essential information associated with energy performance of your system in relation to:

  • Efficiency / sizing
  • Improvement / replacement
  • Alternative solutions
